The 2020-2021 charity is P.A.C.E. (Police Athletics for Community Engagement).
The primary goal is to build stronger relationships between neighborhoods and the Police Officers that patrol those communities. At a time of “pay to play” athletics, inner city and at-risk youth are left out of these character building activities. P.A.C.E. Is dedicated to offering athletic opportunities to at-risk youth free of charge. No one is turned away.
Programs have expanded to include girls baseball, CrossFit training, KOPS law enforcement educational training camps, ACT preparation classes, flag football and cooperation with other after school programs and kid programs, such as Completely Kids, - besides the original soccer, the sport that started it all. This is now expanded to all over Omaha.
A check in the amount of $10,582.50 was given to Detective Tony Espaho for the organization, P.A.C.E.,
